Preeta and Srishti Arora leave their hometown of Nasik following the death of their father, Raghuveer Arora. Prior to his death, Raghuveer Arora requested that his daughters travel to Mumbai to reunite with their mother, Sarla.
Preeta meets the Luthra family and works as a physiotherapist for their matriarch, Bani Luthra. Their younger grandson Karan, a popular cricket player, and their older grandson Rishabh, a successful business tycoon, have conflicting relationships. This meeting fosters the development of their interpersonal relationships.
Karan and Preeta’s alliance develops into friendship over time, and they fall in love over time. Karan marries Preeta out of spite after a miscommunication causes him to start despising her. Despite their resolution of their differences, their adversaries, Sherlyn and Prithvi, continue to impede their progress and keep them apart.
Pihu was adopted by Preeta and Karan three months later.
