My very first tip in becoming successful at selling life insurance is and it’s this simple.

1. Just Ask

You have clients, you have friends, you have family, you just have to ask them who they have their life insurance through. And this is going to open a dialogue with them. Their very answers will be a yes and no.

And when they say yes, this will give you the opportunity to review it with them to make sure they do not have a gap or investing in the wrong products.

Or they will say no, and this will give you the opportunity to schedule a meeting with them. The more people you ask, the more opportunities will present themselves which will increase your chances of getting successful.

2. Use Social Media

Everyday people are aimlessly scrolling their lives away and so we have to go with the opportunity to generate leads. Am not telling to promote life insurance on social media just like that, but to do it in a way that will grab people’s attention.

And doing this in a more entertaining or funny way could grab people’s attention. That is what we call Edutainment, you have to edutain people. People go on social media to entertain, they don’t go to social media to be sold.

We’ve got to create marketing that makes people laugh but also makes them think, “I don’t have life insurance, maybe I should grab some.” There is also a consistency factor to this. You’ve got to do it consistently.

You have to make people realize it’s you that provides this service. Death is uncertain, anyone can die at any time. You have to create the sense of awareness that they need it now.

3. Follow Up

You should make sure that you and your team are following up. You’ve got to follow up with your client. There is no point in asking your clients who they have their life insurance with, there is no point in advertising on social media if you are not going to follow up.
