The opening scene of the 22nd February 2023 episode of Kumkum Bhagya sees Ranbir and Khushi drop Khushi off at the flower shop to return home.
Lali is furious as Khushi leaves without completing her obligation to sell all of the flowers.
Lali starts violently scolding Khushi when she sees her, but Ranbir stops her and tells her that Khushi was helping his sick grandmother.
Lali receives 4,000 rupees from Ranbir, who informs her that he is compensating her for any business losses she suffered as a result of Khushi’s absence.
Lali says that Ranbir is acting as though Khushi is his daughter as he asks Lali not to scold her in that way.
In the mean time, Prachi lets Sahana and Dadi know that she couldn’t imagine anything better than to take on Khushi as her own little girl.
Prachi is reminded by Sahana that Khushi already has a mother who will not allow them to legally do anything.
However, Khushi’s mother is not her biological mother, Dadi informs Sahana and Prachi.
